Bolstering the Rotoflex Brand in Europe

Artur Gondek, newly appointed Product and Sales Manager for Rotoflex Europe shares his vision for the product line and experience in the industry.

Having joined Mark Andy in February this year as Product and Sales Manager Rotoflex Europe, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the people and technology behind the Rotoflex brand.

Over the years, Rotoflex has maintained its reputation as a strong contender in off-line label finishing machines and is certainly an important brand in the Mark Andy family.

My entrance into the printing community began back in 1982 where I attended the Printing and Books School in Krakow, Poland, my place of birth. After graduation I became a high school teacher, specializing in the printing profession where back then esthetics, fonts, professional words played a primary role.

In 1997 I was a sales manager for a printing equipment and supplies distribution company and I recall telling the owner that the business of the future is…digital printing. Since then, through various sales and business development positions for Philip Morris, Heidelberg, DuPont, and Hewlett-Packard I’ve observed first-hand how the printing industry has rapidly changed and grown.

And to this day, the world of print has remained a strong passion of mine!

Strengthening the Rotoflex Name in Europe

My role for Rotoflex is quite strategic for Europe, especially with headquarters and manufacturing facilities based in Canada. Since I am located in Europe, I can help manage product positioning and perception in this market with a focus on machine availability, pricing, faster delivery time, and the overall sales process.

I am also involved with service support to create the best customer experience. Keeping a careful eye on the competition also motivates me personally in developing a creative approach to the business as many dynamics must be considered.

The key to future success for Rotoflex in Europe is strengthening our partnerships with distributors locally in their geographies, similar to the success Rotoflex has seen in India. I pay close attention to regional specifics and country expectations.

As a pragmatic optimist, I am driven to surpass the goals for Rotoflex in Europe!

Local Demo Centers

Having the Mark Andy European headquarters in Poland brings many advantages for the Rotoflex line, especially as a geographical center of Europe.

The Warsaw airport offers great connections throughout Europe. Therefore, our clients traveling within Europe can reach our demo center in a reasonable time, even coming from Portugal or Russia. At least one or two Rotoflex offline label finishing machines are always available to show, demonstrating how they are complementary alongside Mark Andy printing presses. It’s an ideal offering for our visitors to the demo center to see all technologies in action.

A Rotoflex machine is also available for live demonstrations at the Mark Andy UK demo center in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

Local Service and Regional Events

Another big advantage for Rotoflex here in Europe is that we have our own, well-developed service team. Service engineers are strategically located in a few European countries and back each other up. Support from service and solution specialists in Canada is also available, but the goal is to support Rotoflex customers locally here in Europe. Increased first-line support from our local agents is also a direction we are taking.

Rotoflex has always had a big presence at industry tradeshows, particularly at Labelexpo Europe and Americas. But our support is growing with localized exhibitions, especially in Europe, to meet our prospects directly in the country they reside.

Especially important is supporting our agents and spending quality time together meeting with local prospects. Increased Rotoflex presence at our agent’s local events and open houses has also increased product awareness.  With the Mark Andy team at our side, we foster a unified message in promoting and supporting both brands of the business.
