RemaDays Warsaw 2019 Draws Major Interest
Mark Andy presented innovative solutions for label printing during the RemaDays Warsaw 2019 trade show, held in Nadarzyn nearby Warsaw from 13 -15 February. The company hosted representatives of printing companies and advertising agencies at our booth. All attendees showed deep interest in Mark Andy offerings, including the Digital One press that was presented live during the show.
European Marketing Manager Lena Chmielewska had the opportunity to interact with attendees during the event and gauge their perception of the digital hybrid press. “RemaDays Warsaw is an event devoted mainly to the advertising industry, however, printing is more and more visible at the show. That’s why we chose to participate for a second time” noted Chmielewska.
For many years, Mark Andy has supported print businesses through a wide assortment of product and service offerings. Chmielewska continued “Our solutions enable their development and help to bring their business’ to another – higher level. What’s interesting, agencies and advertising companies began to find many suitable solutions among Mark Andy presses. Of course, some of their needs are quite different and vary from Client to Client, but that’s not a challenge that we can’t overcome, here at Mark Andy. This year’s RemaDays Warsaw trade has shown us a fair growth in interest in our solutions, from both of these industry areas, which is a very good message for us”.
Mark Andy’s Digital One, which was printing on-demand during the show, brought a huge influx of stand visitors. Guests were impressed by the 1200 dpi quality of labels and the short production time- in terms of set-up and actual print and converting speed. From a perspective of a printer, it potentially offers a widening on the products they can make, a perfect solution for anyone who wants to enter the digital or short run label market with an innovative and attractive technology. Advertising agencies have their own, new ideas on how to utilize the potential of Digital One; such an investment will open new perspectives for either a printery or an ad agency.
Digital One is a press dedicated for printing and inline processing of short-run labels. It operates on a 330 mm wide web and is equipped with a dry toner printing module (CMYK), flexo unit (used for cold stamping, laminating, varnishing, spot colors, and more) and a die-cutter.
According to its users, the press is compact and easy to use. Trade fair visitors also noticed Digital One’s simplicity. Attendees were looking carefully at the labels printed and converted on the press. Its attractiveness and high quality were the topics of conversation by many of the booth’s visitors.
Many samples and printouts produced with the Digital One were available on-stand, including beer labels produced on different self-adhesive substrates, wine labels as well as labels devoted to plastic cans and bottles. Each showcased different finishing technique and represented the application range of the machine.
Chmielewska reported that the attendee takeaway of the digital press was extremely positive. A niche short-run machine, the Digital One offers very interesting and distinguishing features that can achieve bringing the final product to a next level of quality, thus by attractiveness, it can lead to bringing more interest from future customers and – indirectly – have an impact on its sales.
On one hand, Digital One is devoted to flexo printing houses challenging a new product mix: shorter runs and a bigger variety. According to industry trends, a digital press should take over this kind of production from high-production presses, enabling increased efficiency and effectiveness, mainly due to a short make-ready. Potential customers noted that this is a huge advantage for Digital One over other currently available presses on the market.
Contrarily, the Digital One may also be an appropriate solution for businesses planning to enter the label market and broaden their offerings. Such printeries quite often don’t need to invest in high-volume, production digital presses or simply can’t justify the investment. For this market segment, Digital One is an attainable solution to penetrate digital printing.
